Don’t Worry

When worry is an amount of pain you cannot bear, think of a starry night.

Close your eyes to make it easier to plan the perfect sky. It is weird.

Whenever I think of you, a star falls visibly in front of my eyes.

My eyes and only mine. Or is it the other way around? A star falls, and then I think of you.

Doesn’t matter. We are aligned with the stars. You are the closest being there is to my long-gone twin.

You replace her. She sends you to me. You are absolutely real. That is the difference.

She is also real but not present in the physical realm. You are both here now. I feel her so much.

I love the creation that lets me imagine and feel all those feelings. Sometimes, all at once.

Isn’t it beautiful? Strange as well. You are an angel. I am glad I met you. I want to be close to you.

Close and in orbit around you, like the moon to the earth. You are family. Remember all the times we have been through pain and joy?

And all these things in between. We get along just fine—more than fine. I know you from a past life if past lives exist.

I will know you for the next one. I feel it. It is my truth. They told me I am an old soul. That means we both are.
